“Scribbles are products of a systematic investigation, rather than haphazard actions” – John Matthews

Pinwheels with Nate’s mum

This morning we had a special cooking class from one of our Mummy’s on maternity leave Lana cooked pinwheels with the Possums and made lots of funny jokes that had the Possums giggling. Lana stayed for a little play and also read some stories to the Possums. Thank you so much for visiting We can’t wait to eat the yummy smelling pinwheels!

Eat well and get active!

Did you know that we are required to ensure each child’s health and physical activity is supported and promoted? We do this daily by the conversations we have during meal times, the food we make with the children, engaging in games and activities that encourage movement, projects we research and group discussions.

A helpful resource for families is the healthy kids website which has a wide range of ideas and information to support healthy lifestyles for children .

Dumplings with Zac’s mum

We have an open door policy at Loftus Kindy but we specifically wanted to ask if any of the families would be interested in cooking something with our cherubs. So this morning we had one of our lovely families come in to make DUMPLINGS with our Preschool Possums. It was so special to make something that is a tradition in their culture. Thank you so much Sylvia and Zaccy!

Sutherland fire station visit

We were SO appreciative of the amazing local fire fighters at Sutherland fire station to pop down and visit us on Tuesday! We learnt some new terms such as, “STOP, drop and roll!” We were able to use the huge fire hose too but because of the rain Unfortunately we couldn’t go into the fire truck but the lovely fire fighters offered to come back again so we could have a look inside. Yay! Thank you so much. We can’t wait to see you again.
