Our Rooms

There are three learning age groups at Loftus Kindergarten. Flexibility will apply depending on the individual needs of the child.

• Wombat Nursery Ages 6 weeks – 2 years
• Koala Room Ages 2-3.5 years
• Preschool Possum Room Ages 3.5 – 5 (ready to go to school)

With the support of qualified passionate educators, each group has learning programs created to nurture, stimulate and encourage learning through play. This ensures your child has the best opportunity to build their communication, language (including early literacy and numeracy), social and emotional development. Our aim is to extend and enrich children’s learning from birth to five and through the transition to school.

The Possums group (Preschool room) is run by qualified Early Childhood Teacher’s and a school readiness program is incorporated into the daily program of the room.

Each child’s individual learning and development is supported through the provision of an inclusive, safe and secure environment. Our educational Philosophy is influenced and based on the Education and Care Services National Regulations, The Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standards.
